Energy-Efficient Home Heating Solutions
AAC Group specialises in home heating solutions using air source heat pumps (ASHPs)—a sustainable and cost-effective way to heat your home. Whether you're looking to replace an outdated heating system or install a high-performance renewable energy solution, our team delivers expert guidance, installation, and ongoing maintenance.
Air source heat pumps provide efficient heating by extracting energy from the outside air, even in colder temperatures. With lower energy consumption and reduced carbon emissions, ASHPs are an excellent alternative to traditional gas or oil heating systems.
At AAC Group we are also able to support and guide you through application for the boiler upgrade scheme (BUS). With your permission we will apply and claim this grant on your behalf and offset this against the costs of an installation. The (BUS) grant is currently worth £7,500 off any qualifying installation.

Frequently Asked Questions About the BUS Grant
The government boiler upgrade scheme, officially known as the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) in England and Wales, is a program designed to help households transition from traditional fossil fuel heating systems (like gas or oil boilers) to low-carbon alternatives, such as heat pumps or biomass boilers. Here's how it works:
You can get a grant to help cover the cost of installing a low-carbon heating system:
£7,500 for an air source heat pump
£7,500 for a ground source heat pump
£5,000 for a biomass boiler (only for rural homes and with certain emissions restrictions)
To qualify for the scheme, your property must:
Be in England or Wales
Be a private home or a small non-domestic property
Have a valid EPC (Energy Performance Certificate) issued in the last 10 years (without outstanding recommendations for loft or cavity wall insulation)
Own the property (landlords and second homeowners can also apply)
Your current heating system must be:
A fossil fuel system (e.g., gas, oil, or direct electric)
New builds are not usually eligible — unless they’re self-builds.
You can get a grant to help cover the cost of installing a low-carbon heating system:
We will quote your for your required ASHP. If you go ahead:
We will apply for the grant on your behalf through the scheme.
Ofgem, which administers the scheme, will contact you to confirm your consent.
Once approved, we get the grant and deduct it from your total bill once the works are complete.
